Our Castle Rock Syrah is made from grapes grown in California’s Lodi region, a home to grape cultivation since the 1850’s. Here, the long dry summers and cool moist winters combine with loam soils to provide ideal growing conditions.
This complex, full-bodied wine has aromas of blueberry, cassis and mocha. On the palate it is dense and structured, with notes of cherry, and black pepper on the finish. It makes an excellent accompaniment to grilled meats and vegetables, barbecue, and most cheeses.
